Fundraising update

Update: 18 November 2018

Launched by South Kesteven District Council, LotterySK is proving popular among our supporters.  This lottery’s aim is to benefit good causes within the South Kesteven District.  And, of course, you are in with a chance of winning £25,000! as one lucky winner did in the very first draw! (hope there was enough in the kitty!)  You don’t have to live in SK to take part.  As long as you’re over 16 and live in the UK – give it a go!

People have asked if they can support us when they shop on line – you can now!  Just click the On Line Shopping link on the Donation page to get started!

If you’re keeping up to speed with our progress, you’ll know our volunteers have finished rebuilding Lock 15.  They’ve now moved on a few hundred yards to do the same at Lock 14.  Your support has been invaluable in the Buy A Brick campaign for Lock 15 – we now need tons of bricks for Lock 14…

The engraved bricks, which acknowledge your donation, will be built into canalside seating by the lock, as is planned for Lock 15.

Let’s talk sludge!  This is something we’re not short of!  When it builds up in the wrong places, it prevents navigation.  Putting it back on the farmers fields where it came from is a costly business.  This is where we need your help!  Our Dredging Campaign is building gradually (very gradually) just like the silt.  Your donations welcome – who knows, we may even be able to reunite volunteer Alan with his wellies!  I know some of our volunteers bought each other some sludge for Christmas last year…

Thank you so much for your support, we really could not do it without you!
