We offer the opportunity to experience the wonderful Grantham Canal from the comfort of our trip boat. See the canal from a different angle on a relaxing cruise and enjoy the scenery and wildlife.

These can run on any day of the week

If your chosen date and time is free, email: bookings@granthamcanal.org with your name, date, time and whether 2, 3 or 4 hour cruise is required. We will then email your personal link where you can pay for your cruise.

Cruise & Dine:
The Cruise & Dine option provides the best of both worlds: a leisurely one-and-a-half hour trip on the Three Shires followed by dinner at The Duck at Woolsthorpe restaurant. You will have the choice of a two or three course meal chosen from a superb special-priced menu created especially for Three Shires passengers.
• £14.50 per person for a two-course meal
• £19.50 per person for a three-course meal
Cruise & Dine trips are available any weekday from May 1st to the end of July.
These trips are exclusive to your group (maximum 10 passengers) and will depart on your chosen day at 6:00pm from Lock 18. We are able to offer some flexibility on the start time, so please discuss your requirements with our booking team.
Trips are £65 (+£1 booking fee) for up to 10 people, plus £5 deposit per person dining
Picnic Bags:
If you prefer to take one of our Private Cruises, you may like to take advantage of our Picnic Bags to enjoy a snack along the way. The Picnic Bags are prepared by the excellent Duck at Woolsthorpe and consist of a gourmet sandwich, a home-made sausage roll and a chocolate brownie.
The choice of sandwich is:
• Ham and Cheese Salad
• Cheese and Pickle
• Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese
We can offer vegetarian and gluten free options – please enquire when booking.
The Picnic Bags (£8 each) can be ordered when you book your Private Cruise, and they will be ready and waiting for you when you board the boat.

How to find the Three Shires:
Boat trips & cruises depart from Lock 18 moorings, Woolsthorpe by Belvoir.
Make for the Duck at Woolsthorpe Public House, NG32 1NY (formerly the Dirty Duck). Enter the pub car park and park on the left hand side immediately inside the gates.
Cross the canal bridge, turn right and walk up the surfaced towpath, passing Lock 17, to arrive at Lock 18 moorings (allow 10 minutes for this walk to be comfortable). Our skipper & crew will be there to greet you.

Do not confuse Woolsthorpe by Belvoir, with Woolsthorpe by Colsterworth – you’ll miss the boat 😉
