Enjoy a cruise along one of Britain’s most beautiful canals

Picture 361

Private cruises, exclusive to your party, are perfect for a family outing, anniversary or birthday.  Social and special interest groups have all enjoyed a cruise along the canal.

…and for the romantics – a cruise for two 😉

Enjoy teas, coffees, fruit squash and biscuits during your cruise – all included in the price!  Great idea – why not supplement these refreshments with your own picnic hamper 🙂

Choose from 2, 3 or 4 hour cruises

4 hour cruises include a break at Harlaxton Wharf* – a picnic on the wharf?

We are happy for your party to bring something a little stronger than fruit juice.

‘The Three Shires’ narrowboat was purpose built for giving cruises for groups of up to ten people on the Grantham Canal, to include comfortable seating, kitchen and, fear not, a loo!

Sit back and relax along this lock free summit level.

Alternatively, why not indulge in one of these fabulous great value cruises:

Useful information 🙂

Access from the landing stages into the boat is down steps – you will need to be able to cope with these.

How to find ‘The Three Shires’

Cruises start from Lock 18 Landing Stage at Woolsthorpe by Belvoir.

Make for the Dirty Duck Public House Postcode: NG32 1NY .  Enter the pub car park and park on the left hand side immediately inside the gates.

Cross the canal bridge, go through the kissing gate to your right and walk up the surfaced towpath, passing Lock 17, to arrive at Lock 18 moorings (5 minute walk).  Our skipper & crew will be there to greet you.

Parking by kind permission of Lynne & JF, licensees of the Dirty Duck.

A drink or a meal before or after your cruise? Telephone the Dirty Duck: 01476 870111

Enjoy good food at the Dirty Duck

Please do not confuse Woolsthorpe by Belvoir, with Woolsthorpe by Colsterworth – you’ll miss the boat  😉

Hire Fees

Prices are for the boat, i.e. for up to 10 people.

2 hour cruise: £90.00

3 hour cruise: £125.00

4 hour cruise: £150.00
